Greece’s digital nomad visa could suit you perfectly and be your ticket to a life there. It lets you work remotely for a foreign-based company while living in Greece. Plus, if you stay there for less than six months, you do not have to pay any taxes.

If there is one positive thing that came out of the pandemic, it was the realisation that many of us can do our jobs from anywhere. All you need is you, a laptop, and reliable internet connection. Even as restrictions have loosened up and the threat of coronavirus has become more controlled across the world, many of us have not returned to a full five-day week in the office. Instead, hybrid and fully remote working is the new way.

You could work from home from Greece!

The fantastic thing about this is that if you can work from home, why not work from somewhere as incredible as Greece?

You could find a small fishing village to disappear into or immerse yourself in city life in Athens or Thessaloniki or flop down on a lovely warm beach in Crete.

If you have long wanted to explore Greece but have not been able to take the time off work, now, you can do both. You can explore Greece and work, thanks to the digital nomad visa.

A digital nomad visa allows you to work remotely for a foreign company while living in Greece. Other countries such as Portugal, Costa Rica and Malta also have one. Greece was one of the first countries to introduce them, at the end of 2020.

Your Overseas Home conducted a survey into the cost of living in seven European countries. Greece was found to be the sixth cheapest place to live. Therefore, if you are earning a foreign salary (for example a British one) while living in Greece, then you will have great spending power.

Here are the requirements for a Greece digital nomad visa:

Excited to get your digital nomad visa?

With a great tax incentive, a straightforward process, and the lure of sunny Greece itself, the digital nomad visa is an excellent opportunity for those looking to move to Greece. Since Brexit, Brits are only able to stay in the Schengen Area for 90 days out of every 180. This is true even if you own a property in Greece. The digital nomad visa gives British people (and those from other non-EU countries) the chance to really enjoy glorious Greece to the fullest, while still earning a living.
