Megève usually gets snow from December to April. So, you’ll be able to make the most of your ski home. It’s also a busy resort during the summer months, with plenty of activities on offer, including mountain biking, paragliding, helicopter rides and much more.
The village itself is also buzzing all year round, with high-end restaurants, boutiques and plenty of timeless French charm. Despite being a luxurious resort, it is also extremely family-friendly, so appeals to a wide range of clientele.

Les Houches
A lesser-known ski resort, Les Houches is in the Chamonix Mont-Blanc Valley and is an affordable alternative to its well-known neighbours. It is geared towards beginner and intermediate skiers, so a great place to hone your skills and take your family.
It’s also a brilliant spot for summer hiking and biking, so there is plenty to do all year round. Two ski lifts operate in the summer months to take you to viewpoints and allow you to explore the mountains.

Val Thorens, France
Val Thorens is the highest ski resort in Europe and is well known for its buzzing après-ski scene. So, if you’re looking for a resort with a lively atmosphere, look no further. Ski straight into the highest pub in Europe or enjoy one of the many lively bars and clubs that the resort has to offer.
Despite its reputation as the noisy neighbour of Meribel and Courchevel, it hosts a variety of luxury hotels and residences and is no longer just a place for rowdy university ski trips. If the partying gets too much, you can still find a quiet spa to relax in.
